Frequently Asked Questions

How can I visit an apartment?+

Each apartment listing has a "Contact us for a visit" button. You can also call us directly at 819-571-5576 or email info@gestiongy.ca. Visits are scheduled by appointment, typically within 48-72 business hours depending on the current tenant's schedule.

What documents do I need to rent an apartment?+

We generally require: photo ID, proof of income (pay stubs, employment contract, or employer letter), and authorization to verify your credit history and previous rental references. Self-employed applicants can usually provide their two most recent tax notices of assessment.

Do you accept pets?+

Pet policy varies by building and unit. Some of our buildings allow cats or small dogs under specific conditions; others do not. The "Amenities" section of each apartment listing indicates whether pets are allowed. Please contact us before visiting to confirm.

How is rent paid?+

We prefer Interac e-Transfer or monthly pre-authorized debit. Post-dated cheques are still accepted on request. Rent is due on the 1st of each month. Full payment terms are detailed in the lease agreement.

Are utilities (electricity, heating, internet) included?+

It depends on the unit. Each apartment listing clearly states what's included and what the tenant is responsible for (Hydro-Québec, heating, hot water, internet, parking, etc.). As a general rule, electricity and internet are not included; heating and hot water may be depending on the building.

What is the minimum lease term?+

Standard lease term is 12 months, automatically renewable according to the Quebec Tribunal administratif du logement rules. Shorter terms may be considered in specific situations (temporary relocation, transition) — to be discussed during the visit.

In which cities do you manage buildings?+

We currently manage rental buildings in Windsor, Richmond and Melbourne, in the Val-Saint-François MRC in Estrie (Eastern Townships). The full list of our buildings is available in the "Our buildings" section.
